Pediatric Bilingual Evaluator
(Special Ed, PT, OT, SLP, Psychologist)

Sholom, Inc. is currently looking for dedicated Pediatric Bilingual Evaluators to join our New York City team. As a Pediatric Bilingual Evaluator in NYC, you can work in your borough of choice as we have positions available in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. E. Sholom, Inc is searching for fellow dynamic and devoted Pediatric Bilingual Evaluators who are passionate about providing outstanding assessments to Early Intervention children and their families. The most successful Pediatric Bilingual Evaluator have excellent verbal and written skills and a positive attitude about providing high quality assessments to children in need within our Early Intervention (birth to 3 years old) program.
Responsibilities:
- Administer evaluations in home and/or school based settings
- Evaluations need to reflect an accurate estimate of the child’s functioning and be written well according to the most current Early Intervention standards.
- Write comprehensive evaluation reports and submit them in a timely manner
- Any differences or inconsistencies between reports must be addressed adequately with the team and in the reports. Work well with children and families throughout the evaluation process.
- Provide parent debriefing and represent the evaluation team at IFSP meetings as needed.
- Provide quality assurance functions including evaluation review, critique and feedback as needed.
- Prepare and submit evaluations and other paperwork timely.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines
Evaluator Requirements:
- Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists.
- Experience administering the following:
- for SPEd–DAYC-2 and HELP,
- for ST– PLS-5 and Rosetti
- for PT/OT – PDMS-2and AIMS
- for PSYCH—Bayley, Vineland, M-CHAT, CARS-2, or ADOS-2
- EI Evaluations program requires completion of the EILN Intro and Advanced Assessment trainings
- Bilingual in Bengali, Spanish, Russian, Urdu, Uzbek, and/or other languages is a plus.
- Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.
- Current Registration Certificate OR License (1 minimum):
- New York State Certified Special Education Teacher (Permanent)
- Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2)
- Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH)
- Teacher of Students with Speech Hearing and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
- New York State Licensed Physical Therapist
- New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist
- New York State Licensed Speech Therapist
- New York State Licensed Psychologist
- Submission of two sample evaluations (minimum) in order to be considered for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
- The ability to climb and descend staircases.
- The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
- The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods.
Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
